Jacobus James Westfall was a son of Jurian and Styntje (Kuykendall) Westfall. His father Jurian Westfall was a son of Johannes and Maritje (Kool) Westfall and a brother to Abel Westfall and Jacob Westfall. Jacobus James Westfall was born abt. 1713 baptized (February 8, 1713) in Minisink, Sussex County, New Jersey. He died in 1780 in Sussex County, New Jersey. James is buried in an unmarked grave in the Minisink Cemetery, which was established by the Kingston Reformed Dutch Church in 1741. It is now part of the Delaware River Water National Park and only a few grave stones remain. He married 1st Sophia Van Aken May 07, 1738 in Minisink, Sussex County, New Jersey. His 1st wife Christina died in 1749 and James wed 2nd Jannetje (Jane) Decker at the Walpeck Dutch Church on February 26, 1751.
