This property, on a ridge overlooking the Patuxent River, was acquired by Francis Billingsley in the 1660s, and later sold by his chidren. It was once part of "Ressurection Manor". The existing house was built in the early 18th century, and refined by the Platter family over the subseuquent 100 years.
