In the school years 1941 and 42 Elizabeth taught food classes at David Lipscomb College and had charge of half on one floor of girls in Sewll Hall. In 1942 and 43 she continued to teach at Lipscomb and had charge of Sewell Hall. She also planned the meals for the dining. hall. She resigned at Lipscomb in November 1943 to marry Ensign James Murphy.
