Tulsa, Oklahoma
Back when I first started working on my site, I didn't find a Tulsa Web site that gave a good overview of the city, so I created my own overview.
Tulsa Overview
With nearly 400,000 people, Tulsa is a reasonably cosmopolitan city, with a diverse economy
and excellent quality of life. It has pretty good theater, excellent museums and a good park
system - especially along the Arkansas River. It may have the most organized street system
in the country (in most of the town, it has alphabetized NS streets and numbered EW streets,
its major streets follow a perfect grid with one mile squares. Most distinctly, the NS
downtown streets east of main are named after cities east of the Mississippi river, and the NS
strees west of main are named after cities west of the Mississippi!
