Stelton Baptist Church Cemetery, Edison, Middlesex County, New Jersey, USA

Notes:
444 Interments, including my 8& Great Grandparents, John Drake (1655-1741) and Rebecca Trotter(1655-1702). Born in Piscataway, New Jersey, Rev. John Drake was the son of Captain Francis Drake, who immigrated from England. (This Francis Drake was not the famous Elizabethan sea captain; he was a militia captain in Massachusetts or New Jersey.) Rebecca Trotter was born in Newbury Massachusetts. Her father was also an English immigrant, but her mother was born in Plymouth Colony in 1628.

I visited this church and cemetery, where there is a plaque stating that Rev Drake founded the church and was its minister for many years, but neither his grave nor his wife's still exist.

The cemetery is on Plainfield Ave in Edison, New Jersey, not far from Staten Island.
