Jacob Keebler's Will

 In the name of God Amen. I Jacob Keebler of the State of Tennessee Washington County being now in good health and sound mind and memory and knowing that all men have to die, do make this instrument of writing my last will and testament in the following manner.

First- I leave and bequeath to my wife Mary all my household goods amd furniture of every description, during her natural life, and for her to dispose of as she may choose also a negro girl called Susannah during her lifetime, then, to be sold and divided between Sarah Kincheloe, John Kebler, Jacob Kebler, Elizabeth Bacon, Caroline and Mary Ann Ingersol and Lindy Haws-aslo my will is that my wife shall possess and enjoy full privilege of my dwelling house and other necessary houses that she need use of and a decent support given her from the income of my plantation during her life, and also my daughter Mary to have privilege to live with her as long as she lives a single life.

Second- I leave and bequeath to my son Samuel Keebler the plantation whereon I now live, with all my farming untensils of every description, but he is to find his mother a descent maintenance during her lifetime.

Thirdly- I give to my daughter Mary a horse to be worth sixty dollars.

Fourthly-My will is that all my personal estate, and property of every description that I shall die possessed of be sold and divided of my children as equal division, and also one equal share to Catherine Ingersoll's two daughters.

Fifthly- I nominate and appoint my two sons John Keebler and Samuel Keebler executors of my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other wills, legacies and bequeaths by me made and pronounce this to be my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I have here unto set my hand and affixed my seal the 21st day of October 1828.
